12 stones – Written by Claire

12 stones inspired by Grace:

1. Moving into our new house before lockdown, being able to unpack and settle in our own home.

2. Praying every morning as a family after breakfast.

3. Pancake saturdays have become a new family tradition.

4. Online church watching our daughter Meira get excited each sunday.

5. Dancing to the rythm of Watoto childrens choir, Meira knows all the songs by heart.

6. Baking as mother & daughter activity we are enjoying trying new recipes together

7. Pizza tuesdays, also a new family tradition. Its either ready made pizza or homemade pizza on a tuesday depending on the mood.

8. Enjoying our adventures in our garden, having a picnic on a blanket in the sun… by the way my daughter calls it a “picmic” which I find so cute.

9. Watching our son Jahziel aka Jazz whizz around in his walker, hearing him laugh and babble melts my heart as he grows too fast almost 7 months.

10. I had the most amazing lockdown birthday from start to finish I was showered in love.

11. The first day we were allowed out for exercise lol 6-9am… I greeted everyone I saw they must have thought I was crazy. We made friends with a neighboring family.

12. Writing new songs with my hubby… to be continued.

Wow I also reached 12 stones and could go on. Thank you Grace for inspiring me/us to see the good in the midst of chaos & pain. Cultivating gratitude as an attitude. This definitely isn’t quite over as our lockdown continues in South Africa. But I can be ever so grateful to God, He’s got us covered.
